Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform ice resurfacing responsibilities and custodial duties

  • Knowledge of housekeeping, ice maintenance and building operations

  • Application of positive safety attitudes, job skills and insight

  • Capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks

  • Experienced Zamboni Drivers are preferred but not required

  • Willing to train the right candidate

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs ice resurfacing utilizing a Zamboni

  • Provides building supervision and ensures safety

  • Crowd control during on-ice activities and large events

  • Performs routine custodial duties as assigned

  • Setup and break-down of event equipment

  • Provide score-keeping services for adult league games

  • Adheres to and follows safety and security practices

  • Assists renters and occupants in a courteous and polite manner

  • Participates in snow removal operations when required

  • Provides custodial and light maintenance as required

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisor:

Directly reports to the Facilities Manager. Assists the Manager of Operations & Program Scheduling and Office Manager as needed.

Terms of Employment:

Twelve months. Rink & Facilities Attendant salary classification and benefits as established by the Nicholas Sportsplex. 40+ hours per week. Nights and Weekends. Work days and hours per posted schedule. Schedules are subject to change due to facility requirements and/or emergency situations.
