Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or commensurate experience

  • Construction accounting experience preferred

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting functions for assigned N&A projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in all financial processes, including:

    • Collecting and processing contractor invoices and payment applications

    • Collaborating with project managers to review and verify project-related invoices

    • Handling vendor relations, including collecting W-9 forms, managing payments and communications, and integrating data into accounting systems

    • Preparing AIA pay applications for client submission

    • Tracking and managing change orders, allowances, and contingency funds for projects

    • Collecting and distributing related documentation for receivables and payables, including waivers and certified payrolls

  • Participate in regular accounting meetings to enhance team collaboration and streamline processes  

  • Document accounting procedures to maintain consistency across the department

  • Support additional tasks as directed by the CFO and Director of Accounting

Nicholas is seeking a Project Account Manager to provide accounting support at our headquarters. The Project Account Manager will oversee the daily accounting operations for Nicholas’ construction projects, ensuring smooth and accurate financial processes.
